ECOCITY
An ecocity is an ecologically healthy human settlement modeled on the self-sustaining resilient structure and function of natural ecosystems and living organisms.
ECOLOGICAL METROPOLIS
An ecological metropolis, or “ecopolis” is a bioregional cluster of ecocities with integrated waterways and agricultural lands, connected by public transit and bike-ped greenways.
BIOREGION
A bioregion is an ecologically and geographically defined area that surrounds ecocities or an ecological metropolis.
